Note to self for 2010:

Lost in space...

That's how I feel today... Back to work, but without my computer. All I did was click on one little itty, bitty link to look up something for Alex's new nintendo and BOOM! *weird scenes inside the gold mine* all around me! Yeah - got some sort of weird funked up virus hitting my work computer, NICE. So, i tried to run my anti-virus and all that - but nothing was working. Just shut it down and waited til today when I could bring it in to the PRO's ;). So, they've been working on it all morning, and I'm lost without my computer. I'm going back and forth from the conference room to other co-workers computers - and that's just FUN. oh yeah - a blast. It's really quite difficult to do your job without your computer at your fingertips. sigh. I just checked in with my IT person and she said it would be another hour or so because it was SO junked up - she had to completely remove the hard drive and rebuild it. Well, you know me - when I do something - I do it RIGHT. oh yeah. no fooling around with silly little virus's for me - huh-uh. ;) oh well... sit and wait, sit and wait... yep. So anyway, did everyone have a very Merry Christmas? I hope so. We did - it was very nice. Santa was good to us. I enjoyed it. Now, it's time to get ready for the New year - WOW - another year coming to a close again. Didn't we just do this? geez... Oh well - must get running and get a few more things done! One more week left...

to shop and get ready... sigh. Can you belive that Christmas is next week? DANG! I know - next Friday! shwew! ;) I really don't have much left to do cuz we are not doing much this year - it's back to basics in our house. That's kind of a relief actually - maybe this will hang over to next year, and the next? I hope so... it's not all about the bigger and better gift anyway is it? No, it's not. Nice and simple - that's all I want!

So, it's been a busy week. My mother-in-law has been staying with us for a few days and we've been having a great week. Eating, drinking and making merry! ;) Last night, my father-in-law got in too and we had a wonderful dinner and a great night. They're leaving today to head back up to Ohio. It was a really nice visit tho' and it was just a spur of the moment thing - so very cool that we got to see them before Christmas! Today, my parents are due to arrive in to Huntsvegas to spend the weekend for a short visit - so yeah - busy week. They're coming in to see the kiddos before Christmas and bring them their Christmas presents and all that jazz. It'll be a very nice visit too - glad we get to see everyone. The kids don't even know that they are coming so it'll be a fun surprise for them - can't wait to see it! hahh! Lauren will be shocked - cuz her room is such a mess and I know my mom'll get on her for that hehhe! yeah - not like my mom ever got on to me for my room tho! whatever... ROFL!

It's coming...

March 2010, I cannot wait... I will definitely see this multiple times - I can already tell you that much! I have that thing for the whole Alice in Wonderland story itself and then you add Johnny Depp to it - DAMN! hahh!

The Toothfairy...

So, 2 nights ago (after I went to sleep), little girl had Fuddy pull her loose tooth and she tucked it under her pillow. When I woke her up in the morning - Lo and behold, that tooth was still there and the toothfairy had not done HIS job that night. lol! Well, no big deal, we explained that it must've been late and the tootfairy was busy, we'd leave the tooth again the next night. So, here we are then last night. She goes to get her tooth and it's gone, she can't find it anywhere. Now she's getting very upset - because she's certain she missed her window of oppurtunity at some money! hahh! ;) I tell her it's not a big deal, just to write the toothfairy a little note that she lost her tooth and put that under her pillow - that'll work. So, below is what she came up with, how cute is this...

This morning she woke up to find her note gone, replaced with a note back from the toothfairy thanking her for the note and some extra money! Lucky girl! ;) hahha! Anyway, I just had to share - thought it was pretty darn cute... Hope y'all are having a great week so far! talk to ya later...

Way to early...

Ya know those Saturdays when you are SOOO looking forward to sleeping in? Yep - this was one of those for me. But of course, I was wide awake at 6 am. WTF? I mean, seriously - it's not often that I get to sleep in, and I went to bed pretty late last night... well, late for me - it was after midnight. So, I should slept in this morning. I was just looking forward to it - and then boom. wide awake. sigh. I hate that. So here I am, flipping through the channels, and surfing the web and there is nothing to do. Everyone else is still sleeping. :( oh well. Not sure what I'm gonna do today. My mother-in-law is in town for the weekend, so we're going to hang out and who knows what. I was thinking about maybe doing some Christmas shopping - but am not too "keen" on that... we shall see.

I never could get the hang of Thursdays...

So, I sent lil man back to school today. He's been on his meds for over 24 hours now and no fever for a lil longer than that. So he should be fine. He's been feeling just fine now. Keeping my fingers crossed! ;) He'll just have to get all caught up on school work now - the fun stuffs! yeppers. Soooo... what else is going on in our world? hmmm...

Work is a bit crazy lately - different, crazy. Did I tell you that my company was acquired by another company? So, yeah - it was. We are just kinda waiting for the sale to be final and the "new" company to take over which could happen anytime - there's just no telling. It's all that corporate-stuff going on. So, it'll be interesting when it does. I just wonder, will things change? I mean - of course there will be changes, there's bound to be changes and I hope they are for the best (for me, of course!) but I mean, will they happen immediately, or what - how quickly will we see any changes - will there be BIG changes? I've never been through one of these company switches before, so it's just all new to me. Guess I'll just have to wait and see now, won't I? hahh. Oh well - it's certainly out of my hands, they aren't calling me up and asking for my advice - oddly enough! ;)
